NFL Teams Betting - Philadelphia Eagles - NFC East

Philadelphia Eagles Sportsbook BettingIn 2011, Philadelphias "Dream Team" failed to live up to the preseason hype and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2007. Juan Castillos transition from offensive line coach to defensive coordinator was anything but smooth as the Eagles staggered to a 1-4 start. Philadelphia won its final four contests, showing vast improvement defensively, while giving fans reason for optimism. With quarterback Michael Vick fully recovered from two broken ribs, post-concussion syndrome and neck and shoulder issues, the Eagles were banking on their offensive juggernaut and returned with a vengeance in 2014.

After the nightmare “Dream Team” season of 2011, the Eagles were wide awake going into 2014. Owner Jeffrey Lurie admitted he considered making a change after Andy Reid’s 13th championship-free season as head coach. It is widely assumed Reid will have to make a deep playoff run, at least, to survive his 14th season. And while it is safe to say that the excuses for 2011 — the lockout, the enormous changes on the roster and among the assistant coaches — won’t apply this year, there is also a good chance that no excuses will be necessary.
